The 4th Worskhop of the Australia-Brazil-Canada-China Program was held from 22-26 August, 2011 in Perth, Australia.

The four nations have agreed to establish the ABCC Program over the ten year period from 2011 to 2021 to work collaboratively on research using satellite imaging and other geospatial technologies to address common challenges of climate change and land use.

During this meeting in Perth, senior representatives and researchers from each nation have discussed in detail the research and development activities that they have been conducting and that we can all jointly use. Forest cover change, water management and agricultural land use are all critical issues for discussion.

An important achievement of this meeting was the signature of the ABCC MOU between all four nations.
