====== Pesquisa em Modelagem ====== ===== TerraME ===== === What is TerraME? === TerraME is a development environment for spatial dynamical modelling based on cellular automata (nested-CA), that links cell spaces to a spatial database for data storage and retrieval. A spatial dynamic model is a model whose locations are independent variables. The outcomes of these models are maps that depict the spatial distribution of a pattern or of a continuous variable. Among the typical applications of TerraME are land change and hydrological models. === Download TerraME software === To use TerraME, you need to download the following software: * TerraView, a free GIS developed by INPE. * Eclipse SDK (www.eclipse.org). * LUA plugin for Eclipse, available from http://www.ideais.com.br/luaeclipse/. * The TerraME software === How do I use TerraME? === The best way to learn TerraME is to read "A Gentle Introduction to TerraME", which is a simple introduction to the software and contains examples of usage. You may also want to download the "Cabeça de Boi" database and the "amazonia" database, which are used by the tutorial examples. === A TerraME course === INPE and UFOP have prepared a geopro:modelos:course on TerraME === The Future of TerraME === A disscussion (in Portuguese) about the geopro:modelos:roadmap for TerraME. === TerraLAB Wiki=== TerraLAB is a INPE/UFOP joint laboratory for Modeling and Simulation of Earth Systems.
